To foster a positive behavior support system
and build a sense of community among our students, we have created
five communities at our school. Each student belongs to one
community for their time here at WNIS. Throughout the year, we focus
on character education by creating service-minded events for our
students and communities. The communities include Veritas (Truth),
Erubesco (Respect), Officium (Responsibility), Fidelis (Loyalty),
and Animus (Courage). These five character traits are the school
wide expectations for our students. At the end of each quarter, we
reward the highest achieving community with a service project and

parent pickup will begin at 2:30 PM. Pre-K will dismiss at 2:40 PM.
Please note: Blue
car tags will be issued for Grades 3, 4, and 5. Pink car tags will be
issued for Pre-K.
Important Parent Information
Class placement cards will be mailed on Friday, August 7.
Orientation is on Thursday, August 13 for grades 3-5 and Friday, August 14 for ESE Pre-K.
Class placement cards will have your child’s teacher and orientation time listed.
✩ Title I ✩
Title I is part of the No Child Left Behind Act, which was signed into
law on January 8th, 2002. At West Navarre Intermediate School, we are a
Targeted Assistant Title I School. Title I specifically
addresses "Improving the Academic Achievement of the
Disadvantaged." Schools with high concentrations of children from
low-income families receive additional Title I education funds. For more

West Navarre Intermediate School is located in
Navarre, Florida and is on the south end of the Santa Rosa County School
District. We serve students in Pre-K and Grades 3, 4, and 5. We are a very
large school with total enrollment close to 1,000 students.
