Drop Off / Pick Up

Most of our parents know about the items listed here, but we do have new students and parents coming in to our school from time to time, so these reminders should be helpful.

  • Always drop students off in the drop-off area (the covered walkway in the main parking lot). Please do not drop students in the parking lot area or in the street. This is a safety issue.
  • When you get to the drop-off area and happen to be at the front of the line, pull all the way up to the front position to allow for the maximum number of cars in the line.
  • Everyone in the drop-off area should have their students to exit the car immediately. Please don’t wait until you reach the front of the line, as it slows down the entire line behind you.
  • If you know it’s a day when students will be bringing projects, please arrange to come a few minutes early, as we know this will take longer for everyone to unload.
  • If it’s a day with inclement weather (e.g. a rainy day), please arrange to come a few minutes early, as we know this will take longer for everyone to unload.
  • As for pick-up in the afternoon, if you know your student is one of the first ones out every day, you can come a little early and wait in the car-rider line. Don’t wait in the parking lot because we don’t want students walking between other cars to get to your car.
  • If you have a special situation for pick-up (you know the student will be late coming out, they have a large item to carry, etc.), tell the person on duty and they can direct you to a spot for pick-up. This will help keep the line moving.

The bottom line is we all want the same thing. We want the line to move safely and quickly. If everyone follows the items listed above, we can get this done. Let’s keep our kids safe!

Thanks for your patience!!
