SRCDS Guide for Extra-Curricular Travel Funding

Definition of Travel:

The transportation to and from a school sponsored extra-curricular activity.

This transportation will be provided in the form of a district school bus.  An approved rental vehicle or a charter bus may be deemed appropriate by the principal.  No contract or reservation for travel by approved rental vehicle or charter bus will be initiated without approval of the school Principal.

Athletics

1. Travel to pre-season and regular season contests against a school within Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties.
2. Travel to any regular season contest against a school within the sport’s FHSAA assigned district.
3. Travel to all contests that are part of the FHSAA state series. (District, Regionals, State Finals)
4. Travel to off campus practice facilities as approved by the Director of High School Education

Co-Curricular (Band, Chorus, Drama, JROTC, SGA)

1. Travel for participation in any interscholastic competition scheduled within Escambia, Santa Rosa, or Okaloosa counties.
2. Travel for participation in any regional competition that is part of their Florida State or National Organization, and any further competition resulting from success at the regional level.

Clubs and Organizations (Academic teams, Robotics, Lego League, SkillsUSA, HOSA, FBLA, FFA etc)

1. Travel for participation in any interscholastic competition scheduled within Escambia, Santa Rosa, or Okaloosa counties.
2. Travel for participation in a regional competition, and participation in any competition resulting from success at the regional level.
