Michael – My Story

Instructional Technology Specialist

Overall, my goal is to inspire teachers to explore transformative teaching practices that challenge students to think critically and creatively and to collaborate and communicate successfully. I am available to mentor all teachers, students, and staff in Santa Rosa County. I am happy to conduct full-faculty or in-class trainings, model a lesson, co-teach, present at grade-level meetings, mentor 1:1, or conduct research, etc. All in all, my focus is to empower teachers to be innovative in their instructional approach for the benefit of all students.
My educational journey began as a behavioral focus instructor. In that role, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade core subject-areas. After two years, I moved into a co-teaching classroom for 6th & 7th grade mathematics. Later, I co-taught 6th, 7th, an 8th grade English/ language arts for several years. Today, I hold certifications in ESE K-12, ELA 5-9, and Elementary Ed. K-6. My experience in a number of classroom settings has prepared me to recognize the needs of all types of students and teachers in our district.

“Thank you so much for all your help today.  😊

You were so nice and never made me feel bad for not knowing. I can’t wait to practice using my new skills.

Good luck with your plans for the future. I am sure you will be VERY successful.”
