Natasha Godwin – My Story

Instructional Technology Specialist

I have worked for the last eight years as a teacher on special assignment for the school district. As an Instructional Technology Specialist, my roles include technology and program support of school librarians and library programs, as well as administration of our district’s SSO solution, Classlink. I began my career at Milton High School in 1998, where I taught language arts for eight years and served as a technology contact and technology integration coach for two years. After earning my MLIS in 2006, I was hired as Special Services Coordinator for the Santa Rosa County Library System (SRCLS), where I worked until 2013 when I rejoined the school district. My duties with SRCLS included administration of the Integrated Library System (ILS) and library databases, coordination of continuing education, creation of content for the library website, development of public relations materials including press releases, and application for the Universal Service Schools and Libraries Program, commonly known as “E-rate.”

I live in Jay with my husband and two children, who attend Jay Elementary. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy photography, genealogy research, and reading.
