Gulf Breeze Middle School is located in the Gulf Breeze school complex
in "Gulf Breeze Proper" just across the three mile bridge from the City
of Pensacola. We are part of the Santa Rosa School District and are
proud of our standing as an "A+" school for the last fourteen years; every
year since the award has been given.

We have approximately 900 students in our school serving sixth, seventh
and eighth grades. Our principal is Richard Cobb . Michael Brandon is our
assistant principal. This website is
designed to provide useful information to parents, teachers, students
and prospective students.
Our school day begins at 7:30 A.M. and ends at 1:30 P.M. The six
periods are fifty minutes each and there are four minute breaks
between classes. 2013-2014
Daily Bell Schedule
Our half-hour lunches are divided by grade level.
We offer advanced classes in language arts,
science, and math, as well as intensive classes in math and reading to
meet the needs of all of our students. Resource classes are provided for students who need additional help. Free after
school tutoring is available two days per week. Our Library
Information Center is open before and after school daily for help with
research, assignment completion, computer assistance, and reading
More than a fourth of our student body participate
in the GBMS Band, which has earned top evaluations for the past
twenty-two years. Students also excel in the history fair,
geography bee, spelling bee, art competitions, oratorical
contests, and other activities. School organizations include
National Junior Honor Society, Juggling Club, Running Club, and Junior
Optimist Club. Our students also excel at the Santa Rosa County School
District Physical Fitness Meet and participate in our annual Barbara B.
Whitehead Track Meet.
