Varsity Tutors Monthly College Scholarship Contest

Scholarships from Trustmark Bank in guidance

University Tutor's Scholarship Contest - University Tutor holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write a short essay in response to a monthly prompt. The submitted essays are reviewed by University Tutor staff at the end of the month and one winner is chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship. The Sons of Italy Buona Fortuna Lodge in Pensacola has three scholarships each worth $1000 they are making available to area high school students with Italian heritage or partial Italian heritage.  Application   2016 Scholarship Eligibility Requirements is the goal of the Order Sons of Italy in America to promote, enhance and encourage the studies of Italian heritage and culture. This scholarship program is designed to benefit worthy students of Italian descent or partial Italian descent, who display academic excellence and leadership qualities. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of eligibility, scholastic achievement, and participation in school and community programs. These scholarships are for students graduating from high school in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties or home schooled in those counties. *  Association with the Order Sons of Italy in America is not a prerequisite.  However, the applicant must be of Italian descent or partial Italian descent (at least one grandparent or great-grandparent etc. was Italian). *  Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 (unweighted).                *  Applicants must have a minimum SAT total score of 1200 -or- must have a minimum ACT Composite score of 23.  *  Recipients must be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited junior college, college or university and must enroll immediately following graduation from high school.
