School Safety and Security Updates 4-26-22

Woodlawn Beach Middle School Principal Victor Lowrimore reports that all students are back in the building and school has resumed as normal.

April 26, 2022 (8:00 am)

Woodlawn Beach Middle School reports that the school’s fire alarm went off unexpectedly. Students were evacuated and the fire department was called out to properly investigate why the alarm went off.

Thankfully there was NO fire and students, and staff were permitted to return to the building once the fire department deemed the building safe and secure. ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF ARE SAFE.

We appreciate the students and staff for evacuating quickly and we have no doubt that the drills we conduct regularly aided us in today’s situation. Thank you for your patience and continued support of Woodlawn Beach Middle.
