Can I change my schedule?
Yes, but all fully executed contracts are valid. Both schools need to agree to change any contest that has a fully executed contract. If an agreement cannot be made to change a contest that has a fully executed contract, please contact the FHSAA Office.
What is the deadline for opting out of the State Series?
September 18, 2020. The FHSAA will reevaluate any adjustments to the State Series after this date which includes district and/or classification realignment.
Can I opt out of the State Series for one sport and remain in the State Series for other sports?
Yes
What is the process if my school wants to opt out of the State Series but still compete during that designated sport season?
Fill out the drop form in Home Campus to go to Independent status. The fee will be waived for this year.
What is the process if my school wants to opt out of the State Series and propose to have those sport(s) participate outside of the traditional calendar for the 2020-21 school year? The Principal/Head of School must fill out this form: Sport(s) Application for Different Season. Please contact Justin Harrison, jharrison@fhsaa.org, at the FHSAA Office for any questions.
Can I play a preseason classic or have an officials’ training to begin my fall sports season?
Yes, sanctioning for fall sports this current school year is not required though Home Campus. Football can apply using this form: 2020 Football Officials Field Training/Preseason Contest Application. All fall sports preseason classic fees will be waived for the 2020-21 school year. For any other fall sport, please contact the sport administrator if interested.
Can my school participate in regular season contests after competing in the State Series?
Yes, for the 2020-21 school year the last regular season contest playing date is last day of the State Championship for that sport. School Contest Limitations in Policy 6.1.2 are still in effect.
Do my teams or my student-athletes have to meet the minimum game requirements listed in Policy 10?
All fall sports minimum game requirements have been waived for the 2020-21 school year.
